This year Pam Sorel Properties celebrates 16 years as an independent real estate agency specialising in the Central Southern Suburbs of Cape Town where we sell and rent apartments, cottages, town houses and family homes.
Partly rural idyll and partly a sophisticated extension of "the Mother City", the Central Southern Suburbs offers some of Cape Town’s most desirable properties. Located on the verdant eastern side of Table Mountain and divided by the Liesbeek River. The area encourages a genteel outlook on life.
People enjoy living in our area for many reasons … We are spoilt for choice with the best schools in the Cape and proximity to the City Centre (a 10-minute drive), the airport (15 minutes away) and the beach (20 minutes’ drive) provide central living at its best. And of course the views of the mountain are magnificent.
WE SPECIALISE IN THE CENTRAL SOUTHERN SUBURBS
While we concentrate on Newlands, Claremont and Kenilworth, we have also been successful in selling properties in Rondebosch, Wynberg and Bishops Court – and occasionally in other areas when asked to do so.
Looking for an apartment, cottage, town house, family home or a mansion in the central Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, either to buy or to rent? PAM SOREL now lives in Newlands and has been selling property in the Southern Suburbs for the past 33 years. Her background is one of public relations and the hospitality industry. Her interest in selling real estate began as far back as 1971 when she obtained an Auctioneers certificate in Australia.
Among her achievements, Pam has written a cookery book which sold 10,000 copies in 1980 and was also instrumental in starting the Professional Culinary Circle. From 1982 she owned and operated her own national award winning printing franchise business (in Knysna her father was a printer and newspaper man while her mother owned the local bookshop).
Returning to real estate in 1989 she worked in the Southern Suburbs for a couple of the big names in property in South Africa. For the next 16 years, Pam achieved top honours and accolades. Pam was a founder member of the Newlands Residence Association, which is still going strong after 18 years.
"Going solo was the best business decision I have ever made," says Pam today. "But without the loyal support of the local community I would never have done as well as I have, for which I am truly grateful."
LOUISA DE JAGER. Many of you may remember Louisa from her years selling property in Upper Wynberg and surrounding areas where she enjoyed a reputation for being a well respected real estate professional within the community. Her kind and caring nature has stood her in great stead as has her ability to close sales while remaining unashamedly ethical and never compromising her integrity. When the Covid 19 pandemic arrived, Louisa and her family went to their farm in the Overberg which they have now decided to make their permanent home.
Louisa has already sold properties in Napier, a village at the foot of the Soetmuisberg with a blend of century-old cottages and modern houses, surrounded by the rolling farmland which typifies the Overberg region and gives the village a rural atmosphere. She now represents Pam Sorel Properties in the country districts from Caledon to Bredasdorp as well as other Cape Agulhas villages such as Arniston/Waenhuiskraas, Struisbaai and L'Agulhas. Hermanus, Stanford and Gansbaai are also an easy reach for her. We hope that you will take advantage of her knowledge and experience and contact her for unbiased good advice on all your property matters.
Louisa qualified as an estate agent in 1994 and went on to obtain the NQF 4 qualification becoming a full status estate agent in 2010 and is proficient in all aspects of property transactions: Selling and buying both freehold and sectional title properties. She has a proud record spanning 27 years in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.
ANNE WILKINSON. We are thrilled to welcome back ANNE WILKINSON. She lives in Upper Claremont where she made a name for herself selling homes. In addition to Upper Claremont, she will now also include Upper Kenilworth and Bishopscourt as her main areas of focus.
Anne has long held a passion for houses and interiors, and has over the past five years gained valuable experience selling and letting properties from Constantia to Rondebosch. She has a vast network of contacts, and going by the compliments we have received on her professional and caring approach there is no doubt that there is a demand for an agent of her calibre and integrity.
Anne has a depth of sales and retail experience in both the UK and in South Africa, from educational products and luxury furniture to working as a buyer for Woolworths.
We hope you will support Anne and celebrate her return to us at Pam Sorel Properties.
KIRSTY MILLER has been a loyal and invaluable full-time staff member since the foundation of Pam Sorel Properties 16 years ago. Her background is in banking and later as a legal secretary. She is now our personal assistant, office manageress, administration manager, bookkeeper, marketing and advertising guru. In other words, she is the cog of our well oiled machine. After many years in the industry gaining vast knowledge and experience Kirsty decided to enrol and complete the NQF4 qualification during the lockdown period last year to become an estate agent herself. Her area of operation is Wynberg Upper including the Chelsea village and Trovato. After many years of living in Wynberg, Kirsty moved to Marina da Gama and is therefore well placed to assist with selling and renting properties there as well. We hope you will tap into her vast knowledge of real estate which she knows inside and out and experience her dedication, loyalty and good old fashioned service.
