This year Pam Sorel Properties celebrates 15 years as an independent real estate agency specialising in the Central Southern Suburbs of Cape Town where we sell and rent apartments, cottages, town houses and family homes.
Partly rural idyll and partly a sophisticated extension of "the Mother City", the Central Southern Suburbs offers some of Cape Town’s most desirable properties. Located on the verdant eastern side of Table Mountain and divided by the Liesbeek River. The area encourages a genteel outlook on life.
People enjoy living in our area for many reasons … We are spoilt for choice with the best schools in the Cape and proximity to the City Centre (a 10-minute drive), the airport (15 minutes away) and the beach (20 minutes’ drive) provide central living at its best. And of course the views of the mountain are magnificent.
WE SPECIALISE IN THE CENTRAL SOUTHERN SUBURBS
While we concentrate on Newlands, Claremont and Kenilworth, we have also been successful in selling properties in Rondebosch, Wynberg and Bishops Court – and occasionally in other areas when asked to do so.

Pam Sorel now lives in Newlands and has been selling property in the Southern Suburbs for the past 29 years. Her background is one of public relations and the hospitality industry. Her interest in selling real estate began as far back as 1971 when she obtained an Auctioneers certificate in Australia.
Among her achievements, Pam has written a cookery book which sold 10,000 copies in 1980 and was also instrumental in starting the Professional Culinary Circle. From 1982 she owned and operated her own national award winning printing franchise business (in Knysna her father was a printer and newspaper man while her mother owned the local bookshop).
Returning to real estate in 1989 she worked in the Southern Suburbs for a couple of the big names in property in South Africa. For the next 16 years, Pam achieved top honours and accolades. Pam was a founder member of the Newlands Residence Association, which is still going strong after 18 years.
"Going solo was the best business decision I have ever made," says Pam today. "But without the loyal support of the local community I would never have done as well as I have, for which I am truly grateful."

We are pleased to welcome Julie Millar to our team. Known for her extremely hard work, dedication to the job and love of real estate, many of you will recognise her as your neighbourhood expert as she is well established in the Central Southern Suburbs where she has sold a record number of properties over the past 20 years.
Julie grew up in the Midlands of Kwazulu Natal giving her an appreciation for beautiful surroundings as well as a fascination with properties from luxurious villas to historic homesteads and holiday beach houses. After 13 years successfully selling property in Durban, Julie spread her wings to the Cape and fell in love with the mountain, it's hiking and forest trails and the atmosphere and diversity of the homes in our leafy suburbs. Julie is not all work and no play, her interests also include playing tennis regularly and enjoying the fine dining that the cape has to offer.
